They are quite compact and sturdy and ideal for travel. There is good image quality, very sharp and comfortable on the eyes and the magnification is very good with a wide field of vision. On some review websites some people mention an issue with colouration but even then it is splitting hairs and I don’t see any issues. Very pleased with purchase. The inclusion of the book with the set I bought is a nice touch so these would be a great gift for someone starting birdwatching without costing too much. Considering how much one can spend on binoculars I think these are good value for what I bought them for. I have used them at night also and they work very well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just buy them. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 June 2026* Excellent bit of kit. Very clear optics. Good range of field. Not too heavy for longer distances. Would say good value for money. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, Solid Performer! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 June 2026* I'm very happy with the Nikon Prostaff P3 10x42 binoculars. I compared them against the Prostaff P3 10x30 (slightly smaller and lighter) and the Hawke Vantage 10x42. For me personally, I didn't like the Hawke's. It really was a hard decision between the P3 10x30's and the 10x42's. Obviously the 10x42's cost more, are heavier and larger, but they are easier to hold, and the viewing experience is just better (for me at least). Image is nice and sharp, focusing is very precise and smooth. Build quality is very good. I did notice that the 10x30's can focus down to a distance of 2m or so, whereas these have a minimum focus distance of around 3.5m. Carrying case is fine, but not quite as good as the Hawkes. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars - RSPB Pocket Guide to British Birds - RSPB What's that Bird?: The Simplest ID Guide Ever (DK What's That?) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/449412495-prostaff-p3-10x42-binoculars](https://www.desertcart.at/products/449412495-prostaff-p3-10x42-binoculars) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
