I wear L/XL and I ordered the XXL for this and fits OK. For the life of me I don't understand why we're having such big problems with getting the right sizes from so many online sellers. Where do they get their useless measurements?. When I go to a US store (dpt or otherwise) I find what I need in my usual size; I don't need to buy an XXL. The sizes are pretty much standard for American males. Recently I bought an XXL from Leatherup (Xelement) via Amazon, and that was like a MED! What the hell... OK, enough of this pet peeve of mine.As for the vest. It fits snugly. It's soft. It's well made--I've been using it for a couple weeks now, riding my motorcycle as an inside vest or over a tee. It blocks the wind fine and it's comfortable. Looks good too, though to me it better be functional to pass my standards.I also got the Long, which was a good thing since it ends right above my jeans. I'm 5f 11.5', 210 lbs. Good length for me. The Reg would be too short in my opinion. I know, some people like shorter vests, but I don't want it just for fashion. I want coverage.It has 4 pockets very descent size. The "gun" pocket is stupid. Basically it's a deep pocket (like the other inside one) with a strap within. Unless you have Dirty Harry's Magmum, then it's useless for that purpose. Otherwise the 2 deep inside pockets are nice. The vest's liner is one of the better ones I've seen, including those of more expensive leather jackets.Had a strong leather smell but it's almost faded by now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great Vest *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2012* I have wanted a leather vest for a long time but never found one I liked. Of course it's hard to tell when you shop online so I made good use of the reviews here. Based on these reviews I decided this was possibly the closest to the vest I am looking for so I purchased it.This is a great vest. I am very pleased with the quality, the feel, the smell and the softness of the leather. The construction seems to be very good but I have only had it for a few days so I can't attest to durability yet. Basically I agree with another reviewer, as soon as I opened the package and put it on I was amazed at the value. I've seen $100+ vests that are not as good.I followed the advice of most reviewers and purchased one size larger than I would have. I wear a 44 short suit coat and I ordered a XXL vest. The vest fits great and it does cover my belt. Some vests may by nature be shorter than this.There is only one item of disappointment, and it's a major one for me. The description says two inside pockets. I'm a pocket person, the more the better, and the two inside pockets was one of the selling points for me. The vest I received has only one inside pocket. Luckily it's on the left side which is appropriate for me, a right handed person. I normally wear 2XL tall. It fits well on length and slightly wide, enough to wear over a flanel hoodie. If I would reorder today, I would get a 3XL.The Good:- Good quality leather, a bit on the heavy side. The stitching is solid and the interior fabric is nice.- The "buttons" are heavy duty. They close firmly and look nice.- The finishing is casual - dressy. The vest can be used riding or with a dress shirt without rising eyebrows (not to many, anyway).- The exterior pockets are comfy, the interior ones are well placed. They are plenty big for even the largest and thickest "ipad", with interior straps.- The leather is solid and it will not contour the pocket contents too easily.- Does smell good!The Meh:- There is an orange Interstate accent stitched on the front right pocket. Is not too obvious but I would rather not have it.- The straps in the interior are curiosly positioned.- It does ride up when sitting.
