Review: Their best yet - This album has all of the best qualities of previous Chiodos albums and is everything I had hoped for. I think Craig Owens made a triumphant return as frontman but it's the music that really does it for me. Afterall, I liked Illuminaudio just fine without Owens. He does add a little extra in terms of classic Chiodos sound so it's probably best that he's on the album. As far as the band members, their personal problems still aren't completely gone but I hope they work it out so it's not a short-lived reunion. I'd hate to have to wait too long for a follow-up album. They do a great job of placing the heavy parts sparingly and just where they have the most impact. Musically, it feels like all the parts were worked out just right to give a rise and fall of emotion and compliment each other. It's easy to get lost in the melody and then get slammed with aggression in a way that goes beyond previous Chiodos albums. Many parts surprised me at how strong and impacting they were. It's a great mix of range and styles and a truly grand return for both Owens and the rest of the band. The album also features the production of David Bottrill and a new guitar player, ex-Fall of Troy.
Review: Reunited and it feels so good - I've been a fan of Chiodos for about a decade now. I love all of the EPs and, needless to say, All's Well That Ends Well is nothing short of spectacular. Unlike most fans, I really didn't like Bone Palace Ballet initially; it was only when I came back to it a few years later that I appreciated how good it was. I've continued to follow Craig Owns and the remainder of the group since they split. I really enjoyed both D.R.U.G.S. and Isles & Glaciers. I liked Illuminaudio, but it just didn't feel like the Chiodos I wanted. Now, onto Devil: I was ecstatic when I found out that Craig was returning and, while I don't think anything they do can ever top All's Well That Ends Well, this album is damn good. It's the album you've been waiting for since 2007. The sound is back to classic Chiodos but in a lot of ways, especially lyrically, it feels like a follow-up to D.R.U.G.S. (which isn't a bad thing at all). This album definitely makes up for lost time and I am really looking forward to future releases.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Masterpiece
*by P***E on April 22, 2014*

Ive been a serious fan of Chiodos since the first time I heard theres no penguins in alaska. With the release of Illuminaudio I all but accepted the fact that the Chiodos brand of music was over. I gave D.R.U.G.S. a shot and they just didnt do it for me. Craig Owens' acoustic stuff was good but just too soft. Then I got word the boys were getting back together. I bought every single as soon as it was released, falling in love with each. The Chiodos sound is not only back, its refined, its matured. The pain of the separation is prevalent. Craig's spiritual struggle is as well. But theses tracks are utterly amazing. The things these guys do are brilliant. Only Chiodos could produce a score of this magnitude. Every sound that you hear is the result of an instrument being played. Every word bleeds emotion. From the bottom of my heart, thank you once again Chiodos.
