They hold 8 oz of whole beans perfectly. You could probably fit 12 if you stuff them full. The CO2 valve allows the coffee to the off-gas while keeping it fresh. You can easily write on them with a marker. They seal easily and without issue with a food saver (seal only). I also always get positive comments about how easy the zipper seal is to use, with some saying they reuse them for their own coffee.
