You can't just take one and everything will be okay. For some people I've talked to, it takes a month or two. For me, it took about a month to really feel the effects the first time. The instructions on this pack suggest one a day but say some people might find another one a day beneficial. This is inline with what other brands suggest. I've never had to take more than one a day. There is a warning not to take these if you are bi-polar or maniac depressive or if you are taking prescription anti-depressants. This is something you should talk to your doctor about.
