I had purchased a kit for my claw foot tub, and the included instructions were not very good. The kit came with this same type of piece, but I had cut it too short thinking it went elsewhere, it wasn't until after I had cut it too short that I looked at pictures of how the kit was supposed to be installed that I noticed I had done it wrong. I checked the manufacturer of my kit for a replacement, but none was available, so I took a chance on this one that wasn't made by the same manufacturer. It fit perfectly (these much be pretty standardized sizes and what not). Was easy to install, did have to cut down the length a little bit, but that was easy to do (used a dremel with a cut off wheel and then a sander to smooth the cut). We used a tension rod, so it doesn't slide around, and these make sure it won't fall. You can see the supports along the back wall of the shower.
