Review: Power For The Money - I have passive pickups in a couple of my acoustic guitars, and I couldn't get a decent signal out of them in some of the venues I play. Every other pedal option I found distorts the tone except this one. Boy does this solve the problem. It's LOUD, but it doesn't color or change the natural tone of the guitar. It is well worth the $25 I paid for it.
Review: Not bad, but what does it do? - As far as I can see, this "booster pedal" Has two applications for me. I use it as a clean volume boost and as a distortion/ overdrive pedal. If you crank up the Drive knob, you get a really nice distortion sound. Turn it all the way down, it is a clean volume boost. Running it into a cheapo Kustom KG112fx Edit- Was running this first in my chain, now I'm running it after my other distortion / fuzz pedals. I really like it as a standalone distortion, sounds close to a tube screamer, for couch change

I have passive pickups in a couple of my acoustic guitars, and I couldn't get a decent signal out of them in some of the venues I play. Every other pedal option I found distorts the tone except this one. Boy does this solve the problem. It's LOUD, but it doesn't color or change the natural tone of the guitar. It is well worth the $25 I paid for it.

As far as I can see, this "booster pedal" Has two applications for me. I use it as a clean volume boost and as a distortion/ overdrive pedal. Update to this review as of 8/18/19: I ordered the Compressor Guitar Pedal, Mini Effect Processor Fully Analog Circuit Universal for Guitar and Bass, Exclude Power Adapter - KOKKO (FCP2). It's not what it says. When I first posted this original review... it was intended to be about the Compressor pedal... but instead I was sent a kokko Acoustic Guitar Effect Pedal, Booster pedal. Which works just fine for my mic and bass. It gives your instrument a little kick... not much else. That being said... this compressor pedal which I am returning... does the same thing as the booster pedal... and I know this because I did a side by side comparison and got the same results. ZERO sustain... ZERO compression... but lots of boost from the Compressor pedal. So it may say it on the box but it's guts are something else. Buyer beware. I changed my rating to 1 star because someone at quality control did not do their job. Works well for my microphone. As for guitar or bass... well... it does not really do much for mine so I don't use it for them... just my microphone.
