Other sellers all says 12" with the same thing. As a matter of fact, I've already got it through other sellers but it was too short for my need. That's why I ordered this specifically to have longer ones. However, it was almost like double purchase for me. I would never order it if I only knew that it's 12". I kind of understand why it says 24 instead of 12. If you cut the loop, the total length is 24. Again, other sellers all indicate it as 12 with the same thing. It's misleading. It's a loop band, so it should say 12.
