Lightweight and slightly larger than a computer mouse, it includes an EVA carrying case for portability. Ideal for aqueous and dry vapors, it’s perfect for bench-top use but not suited for high vacuum applications or caustic chemicals.

## Description

Filtr8 is a compact bench top lab vacuum filtration pump perfectly suited for hobbyists, students, and schools. Just plug it to an electrical outlet, connect the silicone tubing to your vacuum filtration flask, flip the switch and you are filtering...hands-free. The Filtr8 vacuum filtration pump replaces cumbersome and unreliable hand pumps to provide a consistent vacuum source to speed the filtration process and your experiments. Our lab filtration pump is perfect for the bench top yet is just slightly bigger than a computer mouse and weighs less than a pound. Plug it in the nearest outlet, flip the switch, relax, and watch it work. This item is the pump only with the tubing for connecting the pump to the flask. The filtration flask and funnel are shown for context and demonstration only. Not for use with caustic chemicals. Primarily intended for dry and aqueous vapors. Please note that this pump does not pull a high vacuum needed for many vacuum applications. It is intended to lower the pressure in a vacuum filtration flask to speed the filtration process without the need to hand pump. The max vacuum is in the range of 80-100 inches of water column. Tubing information: The clear tube (end that connects to the pump) has in ID of 3/16" and an OD on 5/16". On the other end is a short section of black silicone tubing which is much more pliable for connecting to the filtration flask, which has an ID of 1/4" and an OD of 3/8". The pump uses a USA/ Canada style plug. Adapters/ transformers may be required in other countries.

Exactly what I wanted, very small, comparable to two cigarette packs stacked on one another, just enough pressure draw, practically silent and I like that it comes in a nice little case and with a gasket on the end of the hose to make it easier to take on or off of your instrument, I’ve broken filters trying to get the hose off before, but I doubt I have any need to worry w this!
