I read that this is the best way to "start" the fragrance. A few hours later I opened up the bathroom door and was hit by a strong blast of the Cashmere Vanilla scent. It's very nice, maybe a "bit" perfumey for my tastes, but still nice. I might suggest you start with only half of the reeds because it was very strong. Now that a day has gone by, the scent is lighter and I have left the door open. It's a nice scent, but I might have liked the other vanilla scent as this was a bit too feminine for this main bathroom. I try to keep the scent more neutral for a common area bathroom as men might not like the scent. I am eager to see how long the bottle lasts. It looks like a huge amount of liquid, but some said it ran out quickly. I hope it at least lasts a few months as it's $16 dollars. I will update once it gets to the bottom. Overall, very nice, good scent strength and seems pretty.
