Ms. McKellar's work causes anyone to wonder how they ever learned (any type of) Math from any dry, formalized, didactic school textbook. They constitute a virtually COMPLETE academic Math course together, in themselves, sprinkled with humor as an incentive not found in conventional texts (example: "Congruence symbol resembles a funny mustache"). I would've also given the others 5 Amazon Starz if I had written separate reviews, but it's all been said by her grateful readership.Several people at my University (students and faculty alike) have mentioned benefiting from her various lessons. This opus on Geometry's Lines, Angles, and Rhymes takes her and us beyond the Algebraic stage and closer to, as at least one other viewer has mentioned, making sense out of Trig and (shiver) Calculus. Maybe now in the future she could even also venture into the organic ozone of Computer Math and Number Theory, Combinatorics and Probability, or even Recreational Math, sweetened with her trademark humor and social advice. If anyone (besides Dr. Math or various RecMath website contributors) could, she certainly would, but of course one thing at a time.Ms. McKellar is to Math instruction as Led Zeppelin is to Rock. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Purchased for my niece *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2014* I purchased 4 of Danica's books for my 12 year old niece. She was having trouble with math, found it boring, and her grades were dropping. I was worried she would be insulted that I got her math books, but she was really pleased. She started the first book the night I gave them to her. Her mom told me that she started reading them as well, and thinks they are brilliant.Danica is able to make math fun! She takes math, and likens it to everyday situations that girls might enjoy. Math is turned into quizzes, problems about shopping, boys, and other things she could relate to. Her mom also said it helps raise her confidence about doing math, and has given her a more positive outlook. I read the book first because I had heard an interview with the actress/mathematician on the radio. I also read some reviews of her other books. I was really impressed at the explanations, and it even helped me remember my high school math classes.
