Also the RCL is a two button-press operation whereas STO is direct one-press; for me, it should be the other way around because I store often-used constants, like ideal gas constant, avogadro number, etc., in memories and need them with single button press. Button presses matter, especially on tests. **Q: where is the function button on this CS-183? for: X^Y power (example 4^4 = 4x4x4 = 64** A: I don't know. The instructions for the unit were so bad I ended up giving it to a friend's daughter. I bought a reconditioned TI-89 from Amazon: plenty of YouTube videos for using the TI-89. The unit in question may be a very capable calculator; the included instructions are terrible.
