But the 2" round label is very large for that purpose **Q: How hard are these to peel off once applied to metal? cast iron in particular** A: Well, I did not purchase these for use on metal so I decided to give it a try before answering you. I tried sticking one of these to the bottom of my cast iron pan (seasoned at this point) and it would not stick at all. It did stick to painted cast iron, and peeled off cleanly. It did stick to enameled cast iron and did peel off cleanly and it did stick to stainless steel quite well-it did peel off cleanly but it did take a bit more effort.
