**Q: I have a straight crack in a hard plastic hydroponics water bucket that holds 3 gallons of water. will this seal it so it can hold water again?**
A: Not on its own. This product only holds two broken edges together at the weld points. It may work if you glue the edges first, then weld.

**Q: Does this make a water tight seal ?**
A: It doesn't make any seal but by melting the staples into the plastic it does melt closed. However if manipulated a little it could probably seal something water tight using the metal tip.

**Q: Will this work well for storage-bin bottom repairs? e.g. lightweight bins with the flap lids  I have several with cracked bottoms**
A: If the thickness of the bottom of the plastic storage box exceeds 2 millimeters, it can be repaired. Plastic that is too thin is easily punctured by hot staples.

**Q: Is it normal, thremal overheat switches unit off < 2 minutes? Then 8-10 minutes to cool? Job time increased 4 to5 X!**
A: No that’s not normal, at least in my experience, I worked with mine for quite a while and never had an issue with it going into thermal protection while I put a vehicle HVAC box back together

Honestly this thing is super cool! This was my first time ever using something like so. I was repairing my quads plastics and it did such a good job repairing and making it strong again. Its really fun to use and satisfying seeing the time and effort you put into it with the cool patterns it has. I will say the only complaint I do have is that it doesn't come with enough S shaped staples. Sure you get 200 but I ran through all of them which to be fair was a very big project BUT all the other staples just are only used for very specific breaks. The thinner one with little wiggles works good but I feel the S is definitely the better of the 4. Oh and it gets very very hot very fast! Use a fan or something while doing it as well so you dont inhale any of the smoke from the melted plastic. I'd buy it again and the people I showed were impressed and fascinated how it works.
