But there were no instructions for set up. I spent a while watching YouTube videos and cutting up scrap to practice with and got poor results on my project anyway. But here’s what I learned. 1) don’t even try to use these without first fine tuning your table and fence. Your set up needs to be perfect. 2) don’t even try to use these without substantial and copious feather boards. An auto-feeder would be ideal for longer boards but you’ll get away without it. 3. If you’re making a box or a hollow column and you have tried for hours to position the fence and blade perfectly for a perfect 45-degree bevel but it isn’t coming out exactly right, give up. It’s actually easier to have a slightly longer toungue on two sides and a slightly shorter tongue on the other two sides as long as you account for this by ripping to the correct width before doing your edges on the router table. You still end up with a perfect box and it’s actually easier to clamp up. Great product but if it’s your first time using this tool, you’ll want to do your homework first.
