At the end of the day it helps firmly plant complex information in your mind and if that info keeps you from planting 20 tons of aluminum into the side of a hill, then I say insulting cackle creatures, is the better part part of valor. It's now on the required reading list for all my students of both sexes and a top recommend for anyone looking to jump to the next level! Everything is Explained!! *by K***S on January 25, 2012* This book is absolutely packed with useful information. Generally speaking, I do not like books that are 'busy' with lots of font size changes, bold, underlining, etc., and this book contains that style on every single page. However, in this case, it really seems to work if you give it a chance, and I think it is reflective of the authors personality. No BS right to the point, here it is RIGHT HERE. I am currently a student pilot and used this book extensively when preparing for my PAR written. I scored a 98 on the test on my first take. This book helped me in the following categories: understanding all the regulations in a concise format, understanding all weather reports and their specific purposes, Chapter 4 - calculating various altitudes, understanding their differences and quick rules of thumb in calculations, specifically, I thought the rule of thumb for calculating density altitude was outstanding. Using the 22Rule was also another outstanding tip, and I won't tell you what that is, because it wouldn't be fair to the author. If you want ONE BOOK to cover a tremendous amount of ground, this is the one. I spend thousands of dollars with Amazon every year, and have NEVER written a product review. The fact that I am taking the time to write this one should speak for itself.
