## Description

Wiha 76000 SoftFinish Cushion Grip Blade Holding Screwdriver

Review: The best bit holder I’ve owned—rock solid! - I absolutely love this tool. I’ve gone through plenty of cheap bit holders, but the Wiha SoftFinish CentroFix is on another level. The locking mechanism is incredibly secure; there is zero wobble, and the bits don't get stuck or pull out accidentally. The handle is very ergonomic and comfortable for all-day use without causing hand fatigue. If you’re a professional or just someone who appreciates high-quality German engineering, this is worth every penny. It makes every job smoother.
Review: A Solid Fatty - This is a simple, hand held, bit-locking driver, if that's what you are after. It accepts the standard 1/4th inch bits that fit your various screw heads. They lock into the holder with no magnet. It has a collar that you push forward to engage and the bit locks in when it retracts back. To release, you push the collar forward and it lets go. There is no magnet to hold the bit in beyond this. A weak magnet would be a nice touch to keep bits from going flying, when you are careless. The connection is solid though. It locks bits in there tight. You can use 1" or longer bits if you want a little more reach. Let's face it. Screwdriver tips wear out, not usually the handles and shafts. So just throw on a new tip when it's time has come. That's about it for function.... Form is ideal though. It's solid and weighty, but not overly so. Feels solid and durable. The red on the handle is a hard plastic, and the black is a solid rubber for grip. The strength is in the shape though. It is correctly shaped to fit in the hand very well. Your hand works with the last three fingers providing most of your grip strength and the thumb and pointer finger used for pinching things. (That's why in ancient Japan, a punishment for Samurai was cutting off the pinky finger, which put them at great disadvantage in gripping a sword securely) This handle takes advantage of the anatomy, with a fat, meaty end for grasping, and a thinner neck for the thumb and index finger to fit for fine movements. It feels perfect, perfect in your hand. My only issues with alignment. I had to return the first one due to the handle and head being offline by 5-10 degrees to the right. This one is better, but still seems just a hair off to the back this time. Still, not enough for me to return, but pay attention and make sure yours is in plumb on arrival. Overall, it's a solid, simple bit-holding screwdriver with a perfect handle.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The only driver I need for 95% of tasks
*by J***F on February 28, 2026*

THIS IS THE ONLY SCREW DRIVER YOU NEED. Seriously, over the past 40 years I have used everything from old USA Craftsman fixed shaft, Milwaukee store in the handle, Klein fixed shaft and 15-n-1, and various brands of quick change drivers. All have drawbacks that this Wiha Centrofix driver solves. Fixed Shaft drivers: These traditional screw drivers have excellent handle-shaft-tip rigidity. But once the tip wears out or is damaged it is basically only good for prying, jabbing and other “junk” tasks. Plus, if you get nice quality like Klein, Wiha, Wera or PB Swiss, you can spend a fortune getting all tip styles and sizes. And that also takes up quite a bit of space. Other 1/4” hex Bit Drivers: These are great to allow use of common bits used in cordless drivers, which are affordable and easy to replace and take minimal storage space. But all that I have tried have some wobble between the handle and the tip, which makes it bothersome when trying to work in odd positions or do finer work. This includes both Wiha and Wera magnetic or quick lock drivers as well as many other brands. Wiha Centrofix: Perfection! The quick lock collar holds the bit firmly so it is like having a fixed shaft driver. Yet you also get all the benefits of a changeable bit driver for less space, less cost and choice of bit style, size, length and quality. I am literally replacing all my manual electrical, HVAC and general repair screw drivers with just two Wiha Centrofix drivers, a single Klein hammering flathead screwdriver, and a Klein micro driver kit. No more need for a set of Wiha Torx and Hex drivers (metric and SAE), Roberts #1 and #2, several flathead sizes, Philips #1,2, and 3. Two Centrofix and a set of each style in about 3” long bits handles everything. Replacement bits are maybe a dollar instead of $10-$20 for a complete screwdriver.
