Review: Fantastic product - Highly recommended - Be prepared for a minor adjustment period. - I purchased In-Motion Forearm, Spring Assist Crutches after a friend recommended them. I complained about the standard crutches I was provided after an accident and he was like, "Shut up! You gotta get these things!" So I looked them up and started reading reviews. The reviews did NOT instill confidence. People reported the being noisy, cuffs falling off, and for those who purchased the spring assisted models, it seemed some felt it made them more difficult to use. I went ahead and purchased them anyway and I'm really glad I did. They're everything the manufacturer and my friend said they'd be. But now that I have them I understand why some folks complained about these issues. But it's user error - not a product or design problem in my experience. If your forearm cuffs are coming off, you've likely installed them backward and upside down. The open end of the adjustable forearm bracket should face the opposite direction of the handles - or - behind you, and the closest (most closed) point of the opening of the cuffs, when positioned over the handle, should be facing upward. Another thing to note is that these crutches handles or ergonomically designed for each of your hands, so there is a left crutch and a right crutch. They are NOT ambidextrous. If the "fin" of the grip is cutting across your palm it just means you've got the right crutch in your left hand. Switch them and you've be right as rain. Noise? Mine are perfectly quiet. I can hear a little spring action but that's it. Stability is a big thing. These are stable. They include two cuff sizes. You want snug but not tight. If the cuffs are loose stability is going to be a problem. But it's also important to know that you're not going to IMMEDIATELY get the same level of stability out of forearm crutches that you get from standard crutches. It's going to take a little time for your muscles to catch up. A few days should do it but I wouldn't get upset if it took a week or so. Another big part of stability is how you use them. Everything from properly sizing them (your arms should have a slight bend when at your sides. 5º or so is ideal), to taking shorter strides is going to help. Your strides will improve as you get stronger. Another thing I found helped a lot as a new user was the angle of the handles. You'll be least stable with the handles pointing straight ahead, and the crutches will always be more prone to getting bumped if you angle your handles inward toward your thighs. I've found that 45º inward is the most stable and natural position. I live in the mountains. There's only dirt, mud and gravel. I'm completely new to forearm crutches and these have been 1000 times better than the conventional crutches I was using. These look great, they're light and easy to whip around when getting in and out of the car, they're strong and the build quality and materials seem top notch... I'm happy as a pig with mine. I hope this helps others who are new to forearm crutches have a better experience cuz it's absolutely worth the time and effort to acclimate to them. Mine showed up yesterday as I got out reconstructive surgery for my ankle. But I'm also waiting to have surgery on both shoulders. The standard crutches I was using before surgery were so bad on my shoulders I'd basically given up on getting around. Millennial's in-Motion forearm crutches have been an absolute life saver.
Review: No sore armpits or blisters in 10 years! - I have been using these crutches for almost 10 years now and love them. My armpits are never sore like with standard crutches. My wrists haven't had any trouble, which i attribute to the ergonomic handles and shock absorbing legs. For reference, I am a large woman in my 50s and a life-long partial paraplegic. I hang things off the handles on my "good" side all the time (sometimes way too many bags of groceries just to avoid needing the second trip). The hook top style let's me hang then on the wall, lean against the wall without them sliding away, and I can usually hang them under from a table top so as to not trip people in a restaurant (this requires some creativity to figure out. I'll try to remember to come back and add a photo. Maintenance - I usually glue in the rubber stoppers at the top. I use these as a grabber while on the go, and occasionally the stopper will catch on something while I am misusing them in this way and get lost. I "rotate the tires" every month or two if a squeak starts to appear, just doing a 180 on the same post or swapping the posts between the left and right side. In my imagination i think this helps get more life out of them, but eventually a more permanent squeak will develop after about a year, which I think is awesome since I use them everyday all day. I will also spin the rubber tips at the bottom if they start to wear unevenly. I upgrade to add tornado tips if I'm traveling to a snowy area. I did briefly have a problem several years ago with the quality of the crutch tips being too plasticky and not gripping well, but that material problem seems to have gone away. The tips that come with these crutches actually work very well and last at least 2-3months. I also had a bad set of lower legs that started squeaking almost within days out of the box. MM send me replacement legs and those worked great. I vaguely sense that they have improved the design of the shock absorbing legs. They seem to last much longer in recent years than my first pairs. They have also improved the construction of the handle integration at some.point so the hand grips don't slowly rotate around and dont require adjustment anymore. The foldability feature is very helpful for travel on airplanes. More times than not, the flight crew will store them unfolded in the overhead bin after luggage is put up there. They also stor unfolded in the coat closet on the plane. I only end up folding them if needed to get them into the bins. I don't love the push button release for folding them, and there's a little stopper bushing that sometimes comes out making it tricky sometimes to unfold it back after stowing. This is why I don't folding them very often unless I really need to do it. The bushings on the posts and hand grips wear over time and give the impression that things are getting loose, but they still just fine. I treat myself to a new pair about once a year, mostly so they are less clanky or squeaky than the worn out ones. I used to get the colored version. I have some old blue ones and one set of red. I'm pretty happy with the charcoal at this point in my life for professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to paint them or put stickers on them if you need to express yourself. I agree that they are heavier than other crutches, but this doesn't bother me. My arms are very strong (i.e. I use crutches full time and long term.) Overall, I love these. They have been great for my quality of life.

## Features

- SIZING GUIDE - SHORT SIZE FOR ADULTS 4'2" TO 5'5": Sold as a pair. Forearm crutch sizing is based on handle height, not overall body height. To confirm fit: stand upright in the shoes you'll normally wear and measure from the floor to your hip. This measurement should fall between 23.5" and 33.5". The handle adjusts across 11 positions within that range. If you are 5'3" or taller, consider our Tall size (B09LHB8MFZ).
- ADULT ERGONOMIC LEFT/RIGHT GRIPS TWO CUFF SIZES INCLUDED: The in-Motion forearm crutch features contoured left/right ergonomic hand grips angled to keep your wrist in its natural position reducing the nerve strain and wrist "kinking" that makes traditional forearm crutches painful during long recovery periods. Two forearm cuff sizes are included in every box (standard and large). The semi-closed cuff design provides more arm support while still allowing easy entry and comfortable hands-free use.
- SPRING ASSISTED - FIRM, CONTROLLED ENERGY RETURN: The lower-post spring absorbs the shock of each step and returns energy to reduce shoulder, elbow, and wrist fatigue. The spring has a firm, controlled feel and is quieter than traditional spring-loaded crutches. Intentionally different from a rigid forearm crutch: most users adjust quickly and find it dramatically reduces fatigue. If you specifically need a rigid post without springs, see our non-spring version (B0FJ62JHV7).
- SURE FOOT ARTICULATING TIPS - STABLE ON ANY SURFACE: The articulating crutch tips pivot to maintain full contact with the ground regardless of angle, giving you confident footing on most surfaces and uneven outdoor terrain. Unlike fixed rubber tips that tilt and slip, these maintain 75–100% surface contact at all times. Works in combination with the spring system to dramatically reduce the jarring impact that makes traditional forearm crutches exhausting during all-day use.
- LIGHTWEIGHT AT 1.8 LBS EACH + 1-YEAR WARRANTY: Built with a reinforced cylinder bracket and double-reinforced strut for heavy-duty durability at 350 lbs capacity without the bulk. At just 1.8 lbs per crutch, these are engineered for users who need all-day reliability without added weight. Developed through 34 clinical studies and trusted by physical therapists and professional athletes worldwide. 1 year warranty.
- PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO TO ENSURE PROPER ASSEMBLY. IF THE CUFFS ARE "POPPING" OFF THAT MEANS YOU HAVE THEM INSTALLED BACKWARDS.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I don't understand the sizes. Does Short (3'6" - 4'10") and Tall (4'9" - 6'3") refer to the height of the person, or is that the length of the crutch?**
A: It’s the size of the person. A 6’3” crutch would be a little long.

**Q: Where was this product made?**
A: Thanks for your inquiry. Our crutches are manufactured in China.

**Q: Is the diameter of the crutch tip smaller or bigger compared to a standard forearm pair of crutches?**
A: not sure but I looked at them and they appear to be the standard size.

**Q: what is the diameter of the crutch at the tip. i want to change the tip to ones i use for snow?**
A: The diameter of the lower post where the tip attaches is 11/16'' (18 mm).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These crutches literally changed my recovery game! Lightweight, sturdy, and much easier on my hands
*by T***S on May 20, 2026*

I broke my fibula on April 1… I’m aware of the irony, and quickly realized that standard crutches are not all created equal. After trying a basic pair, I decided to purchase the in-Motion Pro Crutches along with the matching crutch pads, and I’m really glad I did. The first thing I noticed was the weight. These are lightweight enough that I don’t feel like I’m dragging them around, but they still feel sturdy and supportive when I’m using them. They don’t have that flimsy feel that some cheaper crutches do. The foldable design is also a huge plus. Being able to fold them down makes them much easier to put in the car, store next to a chair, or take along when I’m going somewhere. That added versatility has made a real difference during recovery. The crutches arrived in excellent condition and were packaged well. Everything adjusted smoothly, and the locking mechanisms felt secure once set to my height. I also appreciate the ergonomic handles. Traditional crutch grips can be rough on the hands and wrists, especially when you’re using them all day. These handles feel more natural and supportive. Adding the crutch pads made them even more comfortable, especially under the arms and during longer periods of use. As far as performance, the spring assist feature is helpful. It gives the crutches a smoother feel when moving and seems to reduce some of the jarring impact compared to basic crutches. I still have to be careful, of course, but these feel stable and easier to manage on different surfaces around the house and while getting in and out of the car. They are also very easy to use. Adjusting the height was straightforward, folding and unfolding them doesn’t take much effort, and the overall design feels practical for daily use. I’ve used them around the house, for appointments, and while running short errands, and they’ve held up well. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. Recovering from a broken fibula is frustrating enough, and having crutches that are comfortable, lightweight, foldable, and reliable has made the process a little easier. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs crutches and wants something more comfortable and portable than the standard hospital-style pair.
