Is the material similar?** A: I have both and like both. The sponge material is similar, although perhaps the tsukineko dauber foam is a bit finer. The blending tool sponges seem a bit more durable -- I have on occasion used the daubers until the sponge began to break up. Both are great for stencils and small ink jobs. **Q: how do you wash off alcohol inks from pads for a long use/reuse life?** A: These tools aren't meant to be washed. It works best if you use a pad for each color you use. A lovely addition to my crafting stash! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worthy piece of equiptment for cardmakers *by L***Y on 1 April 2016* Watched many cardmakers using blending tools but these were pricey and the oblong shape seemed awkward and over large. Tried makeup wedges but never happy with ther uneven look. Saw these when ordering inkpads and immediately felt the size and circular shape would be easier to use. They were reasonably priced and came with two spare pads. I like to get things "right" and my first effort at sponging around a cut out image with these mini blending tools left me very pleased. If using dye inks, the pads come up like new with a quick wash.
