My daughter also has one and she has v long straight hair that gently comes in at the ends. I dont know what a British Standard brush is. **Q: Where can I buy another brush for this? I have short fine, thinning hair so need a small barrel?** A: I absolutely love this hot air brush, the 'best' I have ever bought - I have hair length just below ears - my hairdresser says that I have 'fine hair' but a lot of it but I have found the smaller of the two brushes perfect - without accurately measuring I would say that the smaller brush ( including the bristle) is about 3inches in diameter however be warned - my brush came with a continental two pin plug which my husband had to change to a three pin. **Q: what is the wattage?** A: Just 240, UK and Europe, not for use in America. I bought mine in January last year and it dries hair beautifully. However, yesterday it “ blew out” and Was useless,was disappointed that it didn’t last longer. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Quality Rotating Styler with Two Brushes *by J***S on 5 March 2012* This Rowenta rotating hot air styler looks and feels a quality product and although it is a bit more expensive than similar products it is worth the extra. The picture on Amazon doesn't really do it justice.It comes with two different diameter brushes with fairly soft bristles. I have thick, straight, shoulder length hair and the bristles are fine for me but may not be suitable for people with coarse hair. The brush has two heat settings, a cool air setting, left/right rotation and two rotation speeds. It is also ceramic and I have noticed that the amount of static electricity in my hair is much less than with my previous styler. It is however quite a bit heavier than my previous (non-rotating) styler.It comes fitted with a European plug and so an EU to UK adaptor is needed. There are several inexpensive adaptors available from Amazon but be aware that the plug on the Rowenta is round and so will not fit in the flat adaptors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wonderful for wavy thin hair *by V***. on 5 April 2014* I love this brush and wish I could have bought one sooner than I did! It does wonders to my hair which is wavy and thin. It takes a bit of getting used to push the correct direction of the brush turning, however it is so worth it! The hair is quickly dried, volumised and straightened. Unlike the effect of a hair straightener, this looks more natural and waves will still form but in a neat and tidy way. I recommend the big brush for extra volume and the small brush for extra straightening.
