Does it have to be a certain size or can you get any? Need some cheap ones.and don't want to jam the machine.** A: The Dual Heat sticks made by Stanley at about £3.75 per pack are the only one I've used. They can fit guns between 11.3 and 12 mm diameter and are 100mm long. The glueing job should be well prepped for quick assembly as the glue has quick setting time. **Q: if you cant get proper glue tubes can any size do .? thanks** A: Correction to answer No 1: this glue Gun is precision made to use only 11.2mm diameter glue sticks - NOT 12mm! - other diameters such as 7.mm will not work and would probably bung-up the feed mechanism - 12mm sticks are not a standard item and even if they were available, do NOT use them in the Stanley glue Gun - or your patience will become 'unglued' **Q: is this a high heat glue gun?** A: It is a standard glue gun but has the ability to work at lower temperatures with the right glue sticks (eg dual-temp sticks), for working with materials likely to get damaged by high temps, or just to protect your skin **Q: is it easy to clean the tip after use?** A: Yes all you do is wipe it on a clean piece of cloth. The tip is covered in a silacone rubber heat protector (perminant), the glue doesn't appear to stick to it, so if you inadvertently left a blob of glue on the end it would simply melt the next time you switched it on. ## Frequently Bought Together - Stanley STA0GR25 Heavy-Duty Glue Gun - Stanley 1-GS20DT Dual Temp Glue Stick, 12mm x 101mm, Pack of 24 (Packaging may vary) - Silverline Glue Sticks 11.2 x 100 mm 50pk (698462) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/48054162-stanley-heavy-duty-glue-gun](https://www.desertcart.at/products/48054162-stanley-heavy-duty-glue-gun) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
