But for me everything was spot on. First Paul Rudd was a surprisingly good lead and the very well and he was both emotionally believable and kept his comedy talents and through them in at the right moments. Then there's Michael Douglas, he is fantastic and showed what good actor he is just superb and the rest of the cast all play their roles superbly. The plot isn't over complicated as this is an origins story of sorts but before you all go "oh no not another super hero origin" this one works and is needed. Overall the film is a treat,and 117mins well enjoyed! Review: Small but Mighty - This is another great fun action adventure from the team at Marvel studios. Introducing a new character into the MCU is made to seem easy and pretty seamless overall. The chemistry between Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly is wonderful and the action is fun and frenetic. Overall I love this film and the atmosphere it has. Much more a semi serious caper movie than a deadly serious action adventure. The few weaknesses are the same as in a lot of Marvel Films. The villain seems under developed and his motivations are a bit weak. Also there seems to be little actual peril for a lot of the film. When I first saw Disney/Marvel announce they were making a blockbuster movie of the lil guy I was SHOCKED! One, because of the fact my first thought was "...the end of the new age comic book era", and secondly "ant-man!? who cares!? unless you like comics"... BOY!!!! was i wrong! Paul Rudd could not have been a better choice! Its action packed, gripping, comical (loved the Thomas the Tank scene) and provides enough detail to solidly affirm Ant-Man/Pym Particle technology into the Marvel cinematic universe without being labour intensive! Could not be happier that this movie has been made! I must admit I did not give the movie a full 5 stars and that is solely because I can't give everything 5 stars... Has to be a little leeway for films like Avengers etc... As this is a review specifically of the Blu Ray release... All I will say about the extra features are that it is packed full of Marvel goodness! A great gag reel, the making of, deleted/extended scenes, audio commentary and more! Kids will love this, but just like me anyone over 25 will love it too!
