Both with auto feeders, one can do duplex scanning the other only single sided scanning. I wanted to scan some old accounts. The problem was lots of pages were tiny receipts or had staples. Many of the pages were dog-eared. Not really great for scanning.I bought this because I was getting tired of the documents jamming or miss-scanning. It works! Good resolution, very fast, auto focusing, good adjustment of colour etc. It is also much much faster than a flat bed scanner with auto feeder. Good software with twain support if you want it.Base is nice and weightyThe only downside is it takes a few moments to get the arm in the right place. I was able to scan a thick binder just by turning a page and touching the space bar (then repeating). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plug and Play! *by J***5 on 3 February 2018* bang on! had used a version at my previous school. It does not need a light as surrounding light is enough. still not fitted it's anti glare shield which I have christened (for the kids) his sombrero. simply plug in and play. no need to find someone with the school administrator code to access the deeper, darker workings of the pc. it's compact and solid. and sits on my desk reminding me I should be using him as part of my teaching. However, although slightly inconvenient, putting it on a book works fine.
