## Description

Product Description Computer Vision Syndrome [CVS] is an increasing problem, with nearly 70% of U.S. adults experiencing digital eye strain. The Orange Lens features Spectrum Control Technology (SCT). The result is additional screen contrast with sharpened details. This improves your focus and reduces eye fatigue while viewing your screen--especially in a dark environment. More importantly, it means these computer glasses can also help inhibit vision problems like cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. Uvex Skyper Blue Light Glasses also offer exceptional comfort for optimal screen viewing. Features include a 3-position ratcheting lens inclination system, adjustable-length Duoflex comfort cushioned temples, a molded-in nose bridge and wrap-around uni-lens. Review: Most practical, well priced and effective anti blue light glasses on the market? - These are great quality for what you're paying. Use them with a light warming application such as f.lux for the best results. Positives: + They hug your face really well, the side shields keep light out and the tint makes sure no (or very little) blue light will reach your eyes. + I saw an analytical graphic and these glasses block out about 98% of blue light, more than enough to see the health benefits (better sleep etc). + A very good price point, well priced indeed. Negatives: - They aren't that stylish, but don't look awful either. They are substance over style, and do the job better than other products in this market that are geared more towards aesthetics. - Lower quality materials; this doesn't affect function at all; but plastic is always going to be worse than metal and more prone to breakage. - The strong tint may makes these unsuitable for situations where accurate color perception is necessary, for example playing video games. It's a trade-off, block out more blue light while forfeiting colours or block less blue light and seeing a broader colour spectrum - different glasses in this market will suit different needs.
Review: They block blue light! - These indeed block blue light. How do I know this? I have a blue LED backlit keyboard and mouse bundle for my computer and they're pretty bright. When looking at them through these goggles, there's just a faint white glow - the blue is gone completely, it's really weird! I know many people will be looking at these because they've read how blue light affects their melatonin levels. I've used these every evening after 8pm and I although I can't say I've felt any significant differences in trying to get to sleep, they seem to have helped a little. There's also other things you can do to sleep better... a bit of lavender on some tissue by the bedside works wonders. The glasses themselves are a bit cheap and certainly not fashionable - you'd only wear these inside. They aren't really designed to fit over glasses. They fit over mine, very tightly, but I have quite small glasses so results may vary. The arms on these are extendable and I use the full length whether I have them over my glasses or not. They're not very comfortable after a few hours so don't expect to be okay with sitting for long periods of time in these. Overall, for a tenner, it's a good intro into blue light blocking glasses. I'm certainly not about to shell out £70 for some gunnars which will likely perform the same function. Give these a try.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why are these only $10 on the usa amazon store?**
A: Here in the UK we get to pay more!

**Q: Do you know if these will fit on top of normal glasses?**
A: No, I don't think so. They fit flush to my face, so don't think they can accommodate glasses.

**Q: Can these glasses be worn safely while driving at night time?**
A: I would not recommend this type of usage using these glasses. No. The quality of the plastic is not good enough and slightly distorting, which you do not want when driving.

**Q: What percentage of blue light do these glasses claim to block out?**
A: They block out 98% of blue light. They're often compared to the more expensive Gunnar Glasses, which have higher quality optics and look less ridiculous, but which only block out 65% of blue light. If blocking blue light is your goal, these are the glasses to go for. You can read more about them on the Lifehacker website.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for PC eye-strain!!
*by M***Y on 10 February 2016*

Ok first off, I'm a web developer so I stare at my monitor all day and then later when I get home. I was getting really bad eye strain, to the point where I couldn't do any consistent work. Went to my optician who said that there was no evidence that anti-blue light glasses such as these helped. Bought some expensive new glasses from them and it made no difference at all. So I thought why not try out on these specs instead...2 days later, no eye strain whatsoever. These are great not just for laptops but also in rooms with fluorescent light, really cuts down the glare. Pros - Cheap Fits well but there is some pinching over the ears Wraps well around the eyes to block out any light coming in from the sides. Works like a charm! Cons - Is a bit flimsy on the frame, so don't treat them too forcefully You look like a bit of a fool in the office, or like the guy from Team America World Police. Whatever makes you feel better... Overall 5* - why? Because all the cons are outweighed by the price, I don't expect titanium, carbon- fibre, captain scarlet indesctructible for just over a £10. Well worth a go, if you are getting eye strain at the pc all day!! Try these first before you pay for new glasses!
