Product Description Functional and easy to use sound improvement! Vinyl sound can be significantly improved, when unwanted resonances between record and platter can be reduced, while playback. Therefore surfaces of record and platter should connect tigthly. Standard record pucks, that use weight to achieve this, have two disadvantages The weight can induce higher levels of rumble, when used with lower cost turntables which have less massive main bearings. This will affect the sound negatively. Instead of the desired closer contact between your vinyl and turntable is often achieved the opposite: Due to the high weight in the middle of the plate arching the record and the edge loses contact with the turntable. Clamp it is the real solution, an accessory with a clamp mechanism around the center spindle, that will not add weight, which would induce rumble. You can fine-adjust pressure according condition of your warped records. Fitting of Clamp it is easily done within seconds. This accessory will not only please your ears, its beautifully machined diamond-cut edges will also look extremely cool on any turntable! Step 2 Place Clamp it over the platter spindle with the record on the platter. Applying a small amount of downward pressure may help flatten some warped records. Step 3 Tighten Clamp it by turning the knob clockwise until it is snug. Do not over tighten! To remove, turn the knob counter-clockwise to loosen, then lift off the clamp.

Review: Expensive but a quality item. But.... - As soon as this was delivered, I ripped the box open and went to clamp my Depeche Mode album, and the thing wouldn't fit - as per my first picture. This was a birthday present from my wife and daughters, so I went to tell her it didn't fit the Pro-Ject turntable that it was made for and said, "Look, I'll show you". She came to look, and the thing slid on perfectly. I am unsure if magic was involved, but I am happy with it overall, and it does Clamp It! It does look the part, and it does what it says on the tin. It is quality workmanship but does seem a little high-end in terms of the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ nice solid feel to it

Works really well, nice solid feel to it, high quality finish. Firm but delicate - so it doesnt feel like it would damage the record. I am using it with the Acrylic Pro-ject platter on a Debut 3 SE. One thing I will note however - when it first arrived, It wouldnt fit the spindle. I nearly began the returns procedure because it should fit but didnt - and then I noticed that it needed to have its clamp mechanism pushed down from top to bottom before trying to clamp it onto the spindle. So if you buy it and discover its not fitting the spindle properly, screw on the top section about half way, hold the bottom section and push it down (as if it was a stamp) before putting it onto the platter, you will see the centre tube click down to touch the leather underside and it will then work great. Id have given it 5 stars if this had been mentioned in the instructions...of which there were none. Has it made a difference to the sound? I bought it and fitted it at the same time as I got the Pro-Ject Acrylic platter so I cannot say how this performs on its own - but combined, they both made a big difference to the tightness and detail in the bass. I had some jazz records where previously the double bass section was just a boomy thud sound whereas now i can hear the creak of the bow and deep vibration of the string. It has made the whole soundstage feel more detailed and much better resolved than before. How does it look? It looks great! Smaller than I expected, I expected it would cover the whole sticker, but its a bit smaller than that. Would I recommend it? Yes - especially if you are using an acrylic platter. Is it worth the money? Well it depends on if you have invested elsewhere first. I would not say this is the first thing you should buy if you have a compatible turntable, consider other parts of your system first - but its a great and cost effective upgrade to a turntable like the Debut 3.
