I realised it was out of charge and that the usb does not put a charge into the ipod.So, it works fine, but as long as you charge the iPod separately. I also noticed that although I always put my music selection to 'shuffle, ' it will only shuffle songs for as long as the car is running. When you turn the engine off, it reverts back to playing songs in alphabetical order.
