Featuring a wide 4-750ms delay range, dynamic Age control for tonal character, and tap tempo functionality, it offers professional analog sound with 20 volts of headroom and true bypass options. Perfect for guitarists seeking iconic vintage echo tones with modern usability. ## Description The Echoplex EP-3 tape echo unit is famous for its deliciously warm, organic modulation and sweet musical voice-a key component to some of the most iconic guitar tones from the ’70s onward. The original EP-3 units, however, are expensive, temperamental, and larger than a VCR. That’s where the EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in. It’s the size of a Phase 90, and it delivers the EP-3’s legendary tones with a simple control interface and a hi-fi all-analog dry path. The Delay control sets the time between repeats-from 4 to 750ms-the Sustain control sets the number of repeats, and the Volume control sets the output level of your repeats. Where the sound of this pedal really shines, though, is in Age mode. By default, your pedal performs as a perfectly-calibrated, factory-fresh tape echo machine would- bright and clear tape with subtle wow and flutter modulation. A quick push of the Volume knob lets you β€œage” the sound of your repeats, darkening the tone, upping the tape saturation (distortion), and increasing modulation and tape distress as you turn the knob clockwise. The EP103’s delay signal gets the same tonal conditioning that the EP101 Echoplex Preamp provides, while the dry path is left untouched. For the full EP-3 experience, put that secret sauce on your dry signal by running the EP101 in front of the EP103. The Echoplex Delay also features tap tempo functionality, for up to 4 seconds of delay time, when you hook up an M199 MXR Tap Tempo Switch. The dry path is all analog with Constant Headroom Technology-providing a full 20 volts of headroom-and a choice of true relay or trails bypass. The EP103 can be set for 100% wet mode along with stereo input and output modes. No tape cartridges required! ## Features - Vintage Echoplex EP-3 tape echo warmth and modulation - Age control Varies delay tone from pristine to dark and dirty - 40-750Ms of delay time - Tap tempo functionality - Model Number: EP103 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Amperage | 20 Amps | | Asin | B01BF7YAMA | | Audio Output Effects | Delay | | Best Sellers Rank | 18,290 in Musical Instruments & DJ (See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ) 45 in Delay & Reverb Effects | | Brand Name | Jim Dunlop | | Colour | Black | | Connector Type | 1/4 inch (6.35mm) audio jack | | Controls Type | Knob | | Country Of Origin | Taiwan | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (243) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00710137081666 | | Hardware Interface | 1/4-inch Audio | | Included Components | Delay Pedal | | Item Dimensions | 11.4 x 6.4 x 5.1 centimetres | | Item Type Name | Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal | | Item Weight | 300 Grams | | Manufacturer | Jim Dunlop | | Manufacturer Part Number | EP103 | | Model Name | EP103 | | Model Number | EP103 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Set Name | Multi | | Signal Format | Analog | | Sound Profile | warm, organic modulation, vintage tape echo | | Style | Pedal | | Upc | 710137081666 710137096646 | | Voltage | 20 Volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Jim Dunlop - **Colour:** Black - **Item weight:** 300 Grams - **Style:** Pedal - **Voltage:** 20 Volts ## Images ![Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61s502HK+BL.jpg) ![Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61r2oMOESCL.jpg) ![Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61jZwtlt3yL.jpg) ![Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61DtwvMFSXL.jpg) ![Dunlop EP103 Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hdK-eqTXL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Colour Name** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it come with a power cable/plug ?** A: Yes it does. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a great pedal-edal-edal-edal-edal-edal *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 March 2025* A sure-fire classic - I've had it for years and it's become an integral part of my sound. Also very tweakable and has a small footprint. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 April 2020* Many will argue that there are other brands that are closer to authentic tape delay and that’s fine. I play in a band and my preference is to have something that is easily adjustable on the fly. Once you start thinking about your pedals you stop thinking about your playing. This has a good sound, is simple to use and the tap tempo option is priceless ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what my pedalboard needed *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 May 2022* Loving this new addition to my pedal board. It’s got a unique character that has a cool retro vibe about it. ## Frequently Bought Together - JIM DUNLOP Echoplex Delay Guitar Effects Pedal - MXR Flanger Guitar Effects Pedal - Jim Dunlop MXR EVH Phase 90 (EVH90) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/48330775-dunlop-ep103-echoplex-delay-guitar-effects-pedal](https://www.desertcart.at/products/48330775-dunlop-ep103-echoplex-delay-guitar-effects-pedal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
