## Description

Mould-masters Eco Soya Wax has been blended and developed for use as a wax specially for container candles as there is minimal shrinkage and has a very good scent throw.
You might imagine that not much changes in the very traditional industry of candle making, but you’d be wrong. The first great revolution in candle making was the development in the mid 1800s of paraffin wax, which is today a by-product of the lubricating oil industry. For 150 years, paraffin was the only choice, but back in the 1990s, the first waxes based on soya -beans arrived in the melting pot.

This soy wax is easy to use, the flakes melt down easily and achieve a lovely translucency. I’ve had soy wax previously that leaves ‘bits’ behind or has been too oily - but this wax has been fantastic to work with! I use candle moulds to create different shapes and textures, this soy wax pours well and drys to a nice finish. I’ve been leaving it 24 hours before de-moulding.The overall fragrance of the soy isn’t overpowering and adding essential oils creates a nice scent throw when a candle is lit.I’ll be buying more of this soy when this bag needs replacing.

Used this to make candles for the first time and found it to be ideal. Took the scent well that I added, nice colour, melted well, good price. I highly recommend to beginners and beyond.
