Review: A great castle but the devil to assemble - The most important thing to say is that this model is definitely not for beginners. I have over 50 years of modelling experience with military figures, vehicles and railways, and I can honestly say that I have never come across a more difficult model to assemble. There are many parts to the whole kit, and every sub-assembly is tricky to glue together due to a lack of locating tabs which is the norm with the majority of kit manufacturers. Also do not fit together well and consequently need a lot of filling before painting. However, after the frustration of the build, and filling and painting, the castle looks pretty impressive. It was just what I wanted for my railway layout for a Changing of the Guard scene. By the way, the kit is modular, so I was able to assemble it differently to that shown on the instructions by rearranging the towers, and length of walls using a Dremel.
Review: Decent kit but not for a beginner - Have only just started building this so is only based on my experience so far. To construct the towers and walls you need to join the four walls along their long edges. There is no strength in the join so it is awkward to build. I ended up using extra supports along the edges and a 3D printed square to keep things aligned. The actual look and size of the kit though is pretty good and should result in a castle that looks good once painted and weathered. Overall a good kit but will need some skill to construct.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this castle vacform**
A: No - it is moulded plastic on a spruce just like other traditional model kits.

**Q: How do we put them together pieces doesn’t fit. Should we use a glue or something to keep them together**
A: Yes, glue is certainly required. The pieces do not simply plug together like Lego (for example), they need to be removed from their sprues and then glued together. You can use an ordinary clear glue like Bostik or UHU, a polystyrene cement as used to assemble Airfix or Revell kits, or MEK - a thin clear plastic solvent that chemically melts plastic seams together. You do not need very strong glues like Superglue or Epoxy, any glue that attaches plastic will do. I hope this helps.

**Q: i like the look of this castle im just wondering if i bought 2 they would go together as one big 1 as building it .?**
A: You would need to do a fair bit of kit-bashing to make it work, particularly for the lengthened curtain wall but it can be made to work - I used 1 castle kit and 1 fort. Have fun.

**Q: Hi. What’s are the finished product dimensions? How high are the doors? Seeing if it’s good for my sons games. thanks**
A: HI,

The large doors/gates with opening are about 45mm high and the "stick-on" doors about 30mm. It's best for 20mm/1/72 mm figures.
Possibly ok for 25mm, but a bit too small for 28mm.
