The Amazon description says YES but the can says NO!** A: I'm sorry to see that you have been confused by the directions of use on our product and I hope I can help in solving your problem; there was a recent change in HSE regulations that meant we were not allowed to advise that the product could be sprayed directly onto clothes. The formulation within the can has not been altered, only the directions of use and therefore the instructions on more recent cans may appear to contradict those found on cans produced before the change was implemented. I don’t actually know where to spray I just keep finding the little carpet bugs** A: I spray around the edges of all the carpets in the lounge, hall, bedrooms study etc. Also selected areas on the kitchen floor, and bathrooms. Finally also along the bottom of the front and and patio doors and inside the cupboards. Check your hoover as I noticed a nest had settled inside and needed treating. I found the product excellent for controlling moths and bugs. **Q: Does this work if clothes aren't washed? I don't think I could physically wash all my clothes** A: According to the directions for use on the can this is not suitable for spraying directly onto clothes, despite being called clothes moth killer. it is for storage areas only. I have found it very useful and certainly killing moths. I tend to just lightly spray it into the top of my wardrobe and not directly at any clothes and seems to be helping with the problem. **Q: Can i spray on carpets and rugs?** A: We sprayed it liberally around the whole room with no adverse effect on soft furnishings. I would hesitate to recommend it directly for carpets as it is not specifically designed for such, but if you accept the risk then fine. The spray worked really quickly and 100 per cent successfully. I had carpet moths last spring to my utter dismay and horror. I had received a bag of wool from a colleague, put it in a dark airing cupboard with a hot water tank. I think this was the culprit.I used carpet moth powder, sprays etc. removed all the old carpet flooring.However these moths migrated this year to my living room. Male moths appearing around 9-10pm after a warm day.I bought Zero In aerosol for carpet beetles and moths. Immediately after the first spray, within 20 minutes I had approximately flushed out around 5-8 moths coming from the vicinity of my central heating radiator.I then moved furniture from the edges of my walls, cleaned the dust collection behind and inside the radiator. Vacuumed every corner, edges, under furniture vociferously. Sprayed Zero In specifically to the target areas. I don’t have pets, so I was very liberal with the spray and left the room overnight. I found what I think were a few female moths wriggling about the next morning. I’ve been conscious of keeping on top of the regime. So one week later applied the same technique. No moths so far. I have bought more Zero In and will keep up the routine. It does smell, but then it is an insecticide. There was a moth plague. I used this Spray together with the RENTOKILL Powder and it worked out.They came never back.Now 4 years later we seem to have Carpet Beetle 🤦🏻‍♀️Much more aggressive and those can actually fly and they spread much faster.So at the moment we bought about 9 cans for a room with Carpet, stairs with carpet and curtains in each room.The tins are tiny and expensive and - yes, it seems that some died but there are still so many.I don’t know if this is such as effective as like with the moth’s.The Powder we bought is this one:Rentokil PSC50 carpet moth and beetle killer powderThe spray is good because it enters everywhere and so does the powder, it does go really inside the carpet where the Spray does not reach, but the Spray reach side where you can’t with the Powder (cause to narrow, under the bed etc).So for us it was good to use both.Open the window!Put a mask on 😷 The smell gave me headaches the first day.We put our Pet in a separate room for the first days and didn’t let him out.
