Avoid mixing battery types or charge levels to prevent damage. ## Features - Its size of 40.6 x 40.6 x 137.2 cm (D x W x H) makes it suitable for narrow spaces, room corners and storage spaces such as kitchen, pantry or garage - Chrome-plated for protection against rust or corrosion - NOTE: To avoid damage or undesired rapid discharge of the batteries, DO NOT MIX: non-rechargeable with rechargeable batteries; fully-charged with mid- to low-charged batteries; new with old batteries; different mAh capacities; different brands. - Ni-MH Battery Tips: Verify device compatibility with 1.2V Ni-MH batteries. Runtime may be shorter than 1.5V alkaline batteries. Check proper fit as Ni-MH batteries are slightly larger than alkaline batteries to comply with IEC standards. Replace all batteries simultaneously and consult the device manual for specific requirements. - Charger Tips: Use only Ni-MH specific chargers with independent charging channels and voltage monitoring to prevent overcharging or undercharging. Avoid timer-only chargers and never use chargers designed for other battery types (like NiZn or Li-ion), as this may cause damage or leakage. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B007B9NV8Q | | Amperage | 16 Amps | | Antenna Location | Everyday devices like remote controls, flashlights, clocks, and more | | Battery Capacity | 2000 milliamp_hours | | Battery Cell Type | NiMH | | Best Sellers Rank | 20 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 1 in Rechargeable Household Batteries | | Brand Name | Amazon Basics | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (188,513) | | Item Dimensions | 14 x 14 x 50 millimetres | | Item Weight | 0.02 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Amazon | | Model Number | 210AAHCB | | Number of Batteries | 16 AA batteries required. | | Reusability | Rechargeable | | UPC | 192233053066 | | Unit Count | 16.0 count | | Voltage | 1.2 Volts | ## Product Details - **Battery capacity:** 2000 milliamp_hours - **Battery cell composition:** NiMH - **Brand:** Amazon Basics - **Number of batteries:** 16 AA batteries required. - **Recommended uses for product:** Everyday devices like remote controls, flashlights, clocks, and more ## Images ![Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, 1.2V, Recharge up to 1000x Times, Pre-Charged - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71A+YfI+r3L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it best to completely discharge the batteries before recharging** A: With the new batteries of today no you don't have to, should you well that's another matter. It's best to get the full use out of the battery before recharging it. When it's almost run down charge it don't leave them uncharged for a long time that is the worst thing you can do with any rechargeable battery. If you half charge a battery your charging it many more times than needed to get the full use. Charge it use it charge it. Almost every thing I use rechargeable batteries I have two sets one in use one charging. I also number my batteries in sets for what I use them in so two batteries in one hand set will be 4 batteries a1 a1 b2 b2 each battey is charged at the same time. One set used one charging. Had my batteries for years and always get the longest use out of them before having to charge them again. Having two sets also means no down time as you always have a new freshly charged set ready to use. **Q: Can you use them for solar powered units** A: If you mean to place into Solar Garden Lights I do not see why not as I do use them on my own garden lighting.. **Q: 1.5 volts or 1.2 volts ?** A: 1.2 volts **Q: To buyers in october/november - are they labelled made in japan? or china? what size battery did you get? how many in the pack? thanks in advance** A: Answering in March / April 2020 in case it matters. These are made in China with a date of Nov 2019. AAA 800mAh (16-Pack), came in four packs of four (shrink-wrapped). ## Frequently Bought Together - Amazon Basics Rechargeable AA Batteries, 16-Count, 2000 mAh, NiMH, Recharge up to 1000x Times, Pre-Charged - Amazon Basics Rechargeable AAA Batteries, 12-Pack, 800 mAh, NiMH Performance Batteries, Recharge up to 1000x Times, Pre-Charged - Amazon Basics Rechargeable Battery Charger for AA & AAA Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries with USB Charging Port, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.at/products/48554847-amazon-basics-16-pack-rechargeable-aa-nimh-batteries-2000-mah](https://www.desertcart.at/products/48554847-amazon-basics-16-pack-rechargeable-aa-nimh-batteries-2000-mah) --- *Product available on Desertcart Austria* *Store origin: AT* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
