## Description

Expand your Alpine Restyle dash system to fit the demands you put on your truck or Jeep Wrangler. The add-on KAC-001 External Accessory Control Module turns your Restyle dash system into a hub to control your truck or Wrangler’s motorized accessories. The KAC-001 is compatible with select Alpine Restyle 10/9/8-inch dash systems (X110-SLV, X110-SRA, X109-WRA, X108U). When used with one of the compatible systems, the KAC-001 gives you touch screen control of up to eight add-on accessories like a motorized tonneau cover, air suspension, tire inflator, light bar, winch, etc. Eight individual outputs are available to control eight relay-connected accessions. Each accessory is assigned an icon and label and is controlled from the touch screen, eliminating the need to install switches for the accessories on the dashboard. Each output can be configured as a pulsed, latched or momentary output. The KAC-001 is authorized to be Sold By and Shipped From desertcart. For professional installation, visit the store locator on the Alpine USA website to find an authorized Alpine retailer near you.

Review: This accessory controller enables certain alpine head units to be able to control up to 8 relays. I personally terminated the 8 grounding wires into an ethernet jack and used premade cat6 cable to run the 8 leads back to my relay center under my passenger side seat. From there I distribute the switchable lines to the lightbar and winch on the front grille guard. I have no complaints, the instructions were pretty clear and there's a community-made youtube video showing how to wire it as well. I would say that I'd really like it if the head unit wouldn't erase all the relay settings when you have to reset it, but I think that's a head unit concern, not a fault with the kac-001 controller. Even though the instructions say to run dedicated 12v leads, I found that if you have the maestro->kac->head unit chain plugged in properly, the kac-001 controller will get electricity from that. I think if you had 8 latch relays switched on the whole time it might draw more electricity than it should from the other devices, but if you plan on running only one or two at a time, I can attest that it works without connecting that extra 12V lead, though it is probably not recommended.
Review: This thing is a very cool accessory for the alpine radios. Installed with an i209-wra. Worked perfect.

Was unable to get this to function with my iLX-F509 headunit, after running a series of tests Alpine determined it was a faulty unit but no one wants to accept responsibility, not Alpine, not Amazon, not Creative Audio (supplier) So I have a $200 paperweight now.
