Review: Fireproof box review - A solid heavy fireproof box. A4 size inside is a close fit so can’t store docs in even a tight fitting doc sleeve without them curling up slightly at the edges but thats ok. Worth remembering this is a fireproof/waterproof box and not a safe as some reviewers seem to expect it to be so lock is quite flimsy and is only meant to keep box closed in the event of fire/ flood and not to keep thieves out. No idea how it performs in a fire and don’t want to find out but docs are going to last longer in this than if they are not. A good product in my view just wish inside was a touch bigger.

**Q: If buried, how safe are the contents from the elements?**
A: Just by looking at mine, If it is locked and undamaged and used for the storage of documents and digital media . probably safe for a short time against accidental buria in damp rather than waterlogged soil.  But there is no way it is designed for deliberate lnng-term burial

**Q: My safe will not open - does anyone know what to do?**
A: This happened to me I had to pay to get a locksmith to open it for me. These are from a bad batch I believe, I bought another same company everything, different type of closure tho and never had a problem since, that was 3 years ago and my new one still works fine. Hope that helps

**Q: Is there a requirement to open the box for 30 minutes weekly to avoid moisture build up?**
A: I have used this type of Safe for some years & have noticed no condensation moisture problems. However we do store it in a warm environment and I would not recommend keeping it in a very cold or damp environment. I hope this helps.

**Q: Plastic casing shows a split externally after storage- faulty but no obvious guarantee**
A: The casing is not split in this product which I have.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy Fireproof Box

We use this safe for important documents and so far it's served us well. The A4 documents fit in snug, so unless you're going to bend it, it won't do anything bigger. Luckily we haven't had to test the box but it's heavy duty and looks like it could withstand a fire. I do find that it's VERY heavy and I struggle to lift it comfortably and the lock can be temperamental. The handle is very helpful to carry. You also have to make sure everything is flat as we had an issue reopening the box, which caused a panic, albeit we have a lot of documents inside. Would recommend if you're looking for a sturdy safe.
