You have to apply quite a lot of pressure to slot it in. Don’t know if it would come apart again!! **Q: So do you not use any water or detergents on the mop head itself? You just spray and mop?** A: I dissolve some hard floor cleaner with the water that goes into the spray but that's all. No need to wet the mop head. Just spray and mop. **Q: can i use Cif floor cleaner on this mop** A: Yes you can use anything as long as it’s compatible with your floor. I use mine to polish my wood flooring using method floor cleaner, smells of Almond, and is environmentally friendly. Purchased on Amazon. **Q: How much Karndean Clean liquid should be added? Also, does it require emptying after each use?** A: I would put in about 2 cap fulls and to be honest it uses water very quickly. You can empty it if you wish. But keep in mind that you can over flow it but I would put in your cleaning stuff in first then the water.
