What can I say? They are the perfect replacement. I was dubious about buying them from other peoples reviews saying they don't work properly with the new version but they do. I bought the red boxed one so may be not the blue box. Who knows? The only two downsides are the switches between normal and slow do not seem to work, no menu button and the cable is a little shorter than I expected but hey in comparison to what I was working with before it's a massive improvement. They are a bit thinner than the ones that come with the unit but the buttons are so quick and responsive it's a god send. If you are looking for replacements these are a must. Plus it feels proper retro now with the cables. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the buttons and especially the pad feels just better in my hand *by R***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2015* I actually prefer those controllers over the official ones ... the buttons and especially the pad feels just better in my hand, when playing Landstalker I always had some trouble pressing the diagonals with the official pad, with this one its not an issue anymore.I was at first a bit worried by the smaller size (I have big hands) but that's not a problem at all, this controller feels very comfortable and I also appreciate the extra length of cable. If I had 1 megadrive controller to recomand, including the official ones, that would be this one ... and you get two ! for this price it's a no brainer, if you are looking for a good megadrive controller look no further and take this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AMAZING REPLACEMENT *by E***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 April 2013* Okay, the delivery was faster than light --not literally. The buttons are so satisfying to press and mash. Even though the Mode button confuses me, it's really well made. This is also reviewed by Classic Game Room and approved of this product. The Directional pad should have had a bit more rough material to it or at least some texture to prevent thumb slipping off. But its all still responsive and like new even till this day. Abit too small for my big hands, but you barely know the difference when you're playing games like Street fighter or Mortal Kombat.
