It seems unclear as to what MODE it should be when plugged into the wall at home. #2. It's been plugged in and set to -4°F for 3 days and, while it's keeping things cold, nothing is FROZEN. If anyone needs this info, this Alpicool chest holds 6 LARGE laid flat and stacked horizontally inside the freezer. Review: It truly saved my daughter’s life! - Literally, this wonderful, cost-effective, and thoroughly dependable unit saved my little girl’s life. We were faced with a HUGE dilemma when having to move over 1,000+ miles from Florida up to our new home in the Northeast. I’ll explain... Our daughter is a Type 1 insulin-dependent diabetic. Insulin is extremely temperature sensitive medication. If not being used with a 30 day period, insulin MUST be stored between roughly 34 degrees—45 degrees (approx.). When moving in a car across the US, it’s very tricky to be able to consistently temperature regulate anything, let alone a very sensitive life-saving med that is prone to denaturation. This wonderful Alpicool car fridge resolve all of my fears and issues about the insulin. It was a total champ through the entire 3-day car ride. It kept a consistent temp (give or take a degree C) the whole trip. I used a standard manual fridge thermometer and a digital thermometer with two sensors (for a total of three measuring devices) to ensure that the contents in the Alpicool retained a safe temperature within my given medication tolerances. The Alpicool performed perfectly! I was able to easily adjust the internal temp of the unit with the simple digital temp controls on the outside of the unit by a degree Celsius at a time. Opening the door of the unit allowed me to warm the inside when the unit was cooling a bit too much, and I’d also just raise the temp a bit, too. I was able to use the car plug while traveling, and the wall plug when we checked into our hotels at night. The cooler maintained the internal temp beautifully in the interim from car-to-hotel and vice-versa. Inside the car, the Alpicool fit beautifully on my front passenger seat, and it would’ve fit horizontally or vertically in my mid-sized Escape (just FYI). Also, the unit is very quiet, even when the compressor kicks in. Its important to know that you must make sure to keep the vents unblocked on both sides of the unit so the Alpicool can do it’s job. This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I’d tell any family of a diabetic or person with diabetes to order this life-saving product. It’s important to note, the Alpicool was not just a one-time moving essential for our family: we will continue to enjoy the peace-of-mind that accompanies this purchase as it shields and protects our child’s life-saving insulin. I love that I can use this if the power goes out...or if there is a zombie apocalypse, lol. Seriously, the Alpicool is amazing! A million thanks to the manufacturer of thus product.

**Q: What is the warranty on the Alpicool C20?**
A: This is the rely I got from Alpicool.
Thanks for your advise,we will pay attention to the shipment issue.The C20 model has 1 year warranty.If you are not satisfied with this product,you can submit return request to us ,we will send you pre-paid label to return the unit.Thank you. 

Fortunately I know Amazon will back me up if any problem come up but there are now many such products with no written Warrantees which is simply UNACCEPTABLE.
However, my C20 is behaving well, has the same compressor manufacturer as my Haier an Hisense fridges which have gone many years so fingers crossed seem to be the norm. . but that don't make it right

**Q: Our RV freezer won't keep ice cream frozen.  Will this keep ice cream frozen?**
A: Have been using this as "Freezer only" in my custom-build full-time van/RV for 2 months now.  

Running alongside (separate) Engel refrigerator on a 350AH SolarMax (dual battery) setup.

Keeps my ice-cream bars just right, makes ice-cubes, keeps frozen foods frozen.

If it makes it a year it's a steal at $199.

**Q: How loud is it when the compressor is running?**
A: We used it on a road trip and brought into our hotel room at night. The compressor was noticeable once all background noises were removed though I did not lose any sleep.  This product performed as advertised. It kept the contents at -5 c

**Q: is this product meant for everyday use?**
A: My unit has died.  I had it plugged in for the entire time since I received it on March 15, 2018.  It slowly began turning into a refrigerator from a freezer.  My guess is that it was losing refrigerant.  About a month ago it would not even become cool.  I have not attempted to have it repaired, yet.  If it was designed for everyday use, it did not perform that way.

I've used and abused this C20 in my G-Wagon on backcountry trips, forest roads, and week-long camping adventures. The power consumption is outstanding compared to older coolers I've owned, and once cold it barely sips power. It has been reliable, rugged, and trouble-free. My only reason for upgrading in the future is capacity, not performance. For the price, this has been one of the best pieces of camping gear I've purchased.
