It was split into two parts with a separate metal stand. The stand has to be opened into the + shape and the base of the tree slots into it. There is a hand screw on the stand which needs to be tightened to hold the tree securely in place. The two halves of the tree slot together quite easily and you then need to join the lighting cable (for the two parts of the tree) via a connector, which is quite easy to do. There is another lighting cable connector near the base of the tree which must be attached to the separate wall plug. Again, this is quite straightforward for most people. There’s a button on the wall plug which you press to select the required lighting pattern - static, flashing, glowing, etc.. One slight gripe I have is that you have to re- select your required lighting pattern each time you switch on the lights (unless you happen to want the first lighting pattern in the selection!). You press the button on the plug, which changes the lighting pattern, until you get to the one you want. The lighting pattern can be changed at any time by pressing the button on the wall plug.On first assembly the tree branches need to be arranged and opened out. The branches are hinged to the ‘trunk’ so tend to drop down anyway but the outer parts of each branch need to be opened out a little. When I put the tree up again next Christmas then it probably won’t require much extra work to spread out the branches.The white lights on the tree are plentiful and quite bright, without glaring. I tend to just use the static lighting pattern. I would have liked the option of a tree with coloured lights but that wasn’t available.Overall, I’m happy with the tree. Quite easy to assemble and it removes the hassle of weaving a separate string of lights around the tree. The finish of the branches is quite realistic (to me) with cones and berries that add to the effect.I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice looking tree with white lights, with the option of various lighting patterns. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and value for money. *by H***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 December 2020* We were in need of a new Christmas tree as our last one had seen better days! Given that our last one had individual branches that all needed to be connected, we were looking for one that would be quick to assemble and looked full. There were mixed reviews for this tree, but after some Googling we decided to take the risk, and I for one very impressed! We decided to go for the 5ft pre-lit option, as we only had a small space for it to sit. The added pine cones and berries are what attracted me to it this particular style, and the snow effect is subtle but still effective.When the tree was unpacked it was simple enough to attach the stand and connect the two halves. Each half has its own set of lights which connect together to be powered from the one plug. They are looped around random branches, but it is easy enough to adjust if required. I spent approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour ‘fluffing’ the tree - there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do this but it just involves unfurling each branch and rearranging them to give a full, natural look. I was pleased that there wasn’t too much ‘needle’ drop, and the white snow-effect powder coating didn’t make too much of a mess!Overall, this tree is excellent value for money - in fact, it looks as though it was much more expensive - and is by far the best artificial tree we’ve had to date.
