I remove them after the journey. I use them mostly for sailing trips on a small yacht. Sometimes we are out for a day or two and I leave them on the whole time. They last a day or more. But they do work very well, and I normally get my sea legs after a day or so anyway. They have helped me not puke on the ferry across the Bay of Biscay in heaving seas. We have used these patches on Channel ferries and most successfully on a taxi ride down from Shimla.
