The slots match up each end of most pieces of the wood supplied. There were also the pieces for the top and bottom. I found it easy to put our three together. I had to have a piece of wood to put between the slats and the rubber mallet as I secured each plank in place. I put each together within about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour sitting on my toolbox. I had to get up to turn it round. I have reviewed the smaller ones separately and I am trying not to repeat myself. The bins are easy to erect and no tools are needed. My husband is in his late 80s and had no problems at all with assembling them. All the bins are of sturdy construction and are replacements for others of the same kind that we have had for many years - in the knowledge that they work - I was very happy to buy the same again.
