The original fibre head, whilst good for hand playing, wasn’t good with sticks or brushes. After a while the fibres started fraying and it needed replacing. This is a slightly textured plastic head, great with sticks but feels fine playing with the hands. The head fits the Wavedrum perfectly. Replacing it was simple, unscrew the bolts, remove the rim, replace, screw up. It took about 2-3 min. Then tune to preference. Sounds great, feels good. Really happy with it.
