Easy to install and very secure, my Bruce is quite thick (physically and mentally), nearly 6ft long and quite strong and is not able to open it at all. Very secure, although I did end up moving the clips from one on opposite side of the hatch to just one clip on the side opposite the hinges to make access a little easier for me but if you have a smaller snake, I would leave them on each side to ensure there's no gaps for itty bitty noodles to get through.
