Easy to put up on a wall in a garage or shed ### ⭐ Es war einmal ein Mäher, der nicht mähen wollte ..... *by on Reviewed in Germany 30 August 2025* Der Gardena Rasenroboter bietet zwar eine solide Basisfunktion als Rasenmäher, enttäuscht aber in mehreren Bereichen, besonders wenn man den Preis und die Erwartungen an moderne Geräte berücksichtigt. Er wird zwar als „smarter“ Mäher beworben, ist aber nicht wirklich smart.Keine KI und keine eigenständige Arbeitsweise: Der Rasenroboter arbeitet ausschließlich im Rahmen der manuell festgelegten Einstellungen und nutzt – nach meiner Einschätzung - keine Künstliche Intelligenz. Das bedeutet, dass er keine Anpassung an veränderte Gegebenheiten vornimmt und keine selbstständigen Entscheidungen trifft. Er kann nicht eigenständig lernen oder sich effizienter an die Gegebenheiten des Gartens anpassen. Sollte die Begrenzung oder der Mähbereich ungenau erfasst worden sein, wird er immer wieder gegen diese Hindernisse oder Objekte fahren.Manuelle Erfassung der Rasenflächen: Ein weiterer Schwachpunkt ist, dass die Erfassung der zu mähenden Rasenflächen nur manuell erfolgt. Das bedeutet, dass der Nutzer die Begrenzungen selbst festlegen muss, anstatt dass der Roboter dies autonom übernimmt. Der Mäher arbeitet auch nur im Rahmen dieser erfassten Flächen, so dass Anpassungen ebenfalls immer manuell erfolgen müssen. Dies ist besonders unpraktisch in größeren oder unregelmäßig geformten Gärten und erfordert viel Vorarbeit und Präzision.GPS-Signalprobleme: Der Roboter hat Schwierigkeiten, ein zuverlässiges GPS-Signal zu finden, was zu Navigationsproblemen führt. Besonders in Gärten mit vielen Bäumen oder Hindernissen kommt es immer wieder vor, dass der Roboter seinen Weg nicht findet und Schwierigkeiten hat, zur Ladestation zurückzukehren. Aus der Bedienungsanleitung erfährt man dann, dass auch enge Passagen zwischen erhöhten Objekten dazu führen, dass der Mäher nicht funktioniert; gleiches gilt in der Nähe von hohen Hecken, Zäunen oder Metallkonstruktionen. Besonders schlecht: Bei ungenauer Standortposition bleibt der Mäher regungslos stehen und versucht nicht eigenständig, über einen Positionswechsel ein GPS-Signal zu erreichen. Alles in allen ist die Nutzbarkeit dadurch ziemlich eingeschränkt – außer man möchte damit einen Sportplatz oder ähnliche Flächen mähen.Unzureichender Kantenschnitt: Der Kantenschnitt des Roboters ist ebenfalls nicht zufriedenstellend. An den Rändern bleiben oft ungemähte Stellen, was den Gesamteindruck der Rasenpflege beeinträchtigt. In dieser Preisklasse erwartet man eine bessere Leistung in dieser Hinsicht.Fehlermeldungen: Mittlerweile vergeht kein Tag ohne diverse Fehlermeldungen, die ein händisches Eingreifen erforderlich machen. Ladestation blockiert – hat es trotz freier Bahn irgendwie nicht geschafft, ordnungsgemäß einzuparken; max. Betriebsstundenzahl erreicht – nach einem Monat (!) nicht nachvollziehbar; Ladestation nicht mit Strom versorgt – Anschlüsse in Ordnung und Kontrolllampe leuchtet ordnungsgemäß!Hardware-/Softwareprobleme: Der Mäher lädt sich – trotz grüner Kontrollleuchte an der Ladestation - überhaupt nicht mehr auf und ist daher auch nicht mehr über die App erreichbar. Durch den Kundendienst von Gardena wird man dann aufgefordert, Kontakte zu reinigen (er ist wohl nicht wetterfest!), die Leitungen selber mit einem Multimeter zu prüfen (Spannungswerte kann man online aufrufen!) und nach Leitungs-/Gatewayumbauten einen Neustart zu versuchen!!!Fazit: Der Gardena Rasenroboter bietet zwar eine grundlegende Mähfunktion, aber die manuelle Flächen-Erfassung, das Fehlen von KI und die GPS-Probleme und die diversen Ausfälle machen ihn insgesamt weniger effizient und benutzerfreundlich als viele Konkurrenzprodukte. Wer auf Flexibilität und moderne Smart-Features setzt, wird hier leider enttäuscht.Nach knapp drei Monaten muss ich ihn jetzt im Rahmen der Gewährleistung einsenden, da er wegen der Ladungsprobleme überhaupt nicht mehr funktioniert.
