Absurd how many companies still use non recyclable plastic instead of using paper like with white sugar...** A: The packaging is cardboard with a small piece of paper on the top - all recyclable..... and the sugar is superb! **Q: Can I use this for tea?** A: They are Demerara sugar cubes. So would give tea a slight caramel taste. Demerara sugar is really only used for coffee. However I have in the past had La Perruche rough white sugar cubes which if you take sugar in tea would be preferable in my opinion. It really comes down to taste. **Q: What is the shelf life of this product please?** A: It's sugar so I guess just about forever if kept dry.
