## Description

Product description Take complete control of your creature's fate as you guide it through the following six evolutionary phases: Tidepool phase: Fight with other creatures and consume them to adjust the form and abilities of your creature. It's survival of the fittest at the most microscopic level Creature phase: Venture onto dry land and help your creature learn and evolve with forays away from your safe haven. Carnivore or Herbivore? Social or Independent? The choice is yours Tribal phase: Instead of controlling an individual creature, you are now caring for an entire tribe of your genetic craftwork. Give them tools and guide their interactions as you slowly upgrade their state of existence City phase: Bring your creatures' race into a new golden era by building up the technology, architecture, and infrastructure of their city Civilization phase: Once your city is established, your creatures begin seeking out and interacting with other cultures. You can have them do so with an olive branch or a war cry either way, the goal for your creatures is to unify the planet Space phase: The time has come to move on to other worlds in your solar system. Make first-contact, colonize, or terraform, then venture further to find other solar systems scattered throughout a magnificently rendered galaxy. A 'mission' structure provides new goals and paths to follow as you begin to spread through the universe desertcart.co.uk Review From the creator of The Sims comes the most ambitious video game ever made: here you don’t just control a single family or city but control an entire species from a single cell organism to a galactic conqueror. As impossibly complex as that might sound, the most impressive thing about Spore is just how accessible and fun it all is. The game is split into six evolutionary phases, starting with almost action-style gameplay at the microscopic level. From there you move to the creature phase on dry land, before going on to the tribal phase and the beginnings of society and technology. From there it’s onto the city phase, which plays a bit like SimCity, and from there to the Civilisation phase which plays something like, you guessed it, Civilization. The final phase takes part in outer space where by hook or by crock your species must reign triumphant. Each phase has its own editing tools associated with it for things like vehicles and buildings. By far the most fun though is the creature tool, which allows you to create your own fully animated lifeform from scratch using a huge range of limbs, facial features and colourings. What’s also interesting is that the other planets in the galaxy aren’t all pre-populated by the game. Instead, by connecting online you can upload your races, and download those from other people, to fill the galaxy with civilizations from other players around the world. Any one of the six phases would normally be enough for any one game on its own, but this looks like it’s going to turn out to be the world’s first everything simulator.HARRISON DENT

Review: Read This! Best Review For Anyone! - I've recently played this game despite it being out for quite a while! This game has to be one of the most imaginative games ever created in ever such a long time, the possibilities are quite simply endless in the sense that what ever you do will have an impact on how the game starts and ends! The game is brilliant for young minds growing up as it helps them to think not only for themselves but for the other creatures in the game, and even their own race of creature they've made! Perfect, Fun and slightly educating! *****5 stars every time Don't bother saying no to it just because people have made it a low majority of stars! Believe me, it's addictive and so worth buying! and no other place on the net does it cheaper ;D Eliot Ruben (most legit review)
Review: Good game, for what it is. - Hype can be good and bad, good to get people aware of the game and looking forward to it, bad if the hype exceeds what the game delivers in the end. Spore is a victim of its hype, but to just then write it off completely because of that does it a disservice. I have not played a game I have enjoyed in a long time, these days there all just clones of first person shooters and real time strategy games. I don't want shinny new graphics overlaid on top of the games I had 10 years ago, I want something new or failing that at least something fun or interesting, spore delivers in these respects. It's the first time in over 2 and a bit years I have enjoyed a game and even made me laugh. I would rather play a game that lasts me a few days and I actually found fun and interesting then a game that takes weeks that felt like I had played it before and am just going through the motions to get through to the end of the story. I am aware that there are things in spore which are utilized from those past 10 years but it just has something about it, how its been designed and brought together that adds a sparkle to it, makes it interesting and fun for a change. I also don't believe this game is going to get its full potential for me as I'm 24 years old. I think this game is going to be even more exciting and provide more game playing time for 12 year olds, the kind that when The Sims first came out brought it and made it one of the worlds's best selling games. Spore is more like Lego and Playdoh put together but in 3D, where you put all the blocks together and create something yourself and then pit it against the other things you have made till you are left with 1 of them destroyed and one of them headless which rolled under the sofa. Aimed at ages 12 and up, not 20 and up sadly. This is not a game for someone out of there teens looking for that in-depth, web-based, number calculation, galactic civilization, bounty hunter, rogue trader, role playing type of game with intuitive interface made 3D. It is a kids game, where they get to do a little bit of all the above to keep things moving and to give them something to do but primarily its to allow them to goof off and have some fun making silly monsters and evolving them to fly around the galaxy. In this respect spore is a brilliant game, it just needs to be taken for what it is, not for what people thought it should have been. Because of all this I'm giving it 5 stars for fun, no matter how short the experience was and 4 stars over all because I'm not 12 anymore to fully enjoy it for a long period of time, which is my problem, not the games.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ love it!!!!
*by C***G on 8 April 2011*

i am a late (very late indeed) adopter of this game. Just bought it recently (in 2011!!!!! i know!) and totally love it. I was put off by the DRM issue when it first came out in 2008 and I am glad I revisited the thought of buying the game! I have always been a big fan of customisable avatars in games and there is really tones of customisation to play with in Spore, from cell stage to creature stage. The tribal/civilisation/space stage customisation is a bit limited in term of the clothing/gears you can choose from, and the creature stops evolving once it reaches the tribal stage. Much has been said about the game play, i just want to emphasise again that each stage is unique with the space stage being the most in depth of all. it's like having 4 mini games (cell, creature, tribal, civilisation) and a big game (space). Since you can literally create any creature in any way your imagination takes you, the replyability value is very high! the best game of the year 2011 (at least for me) :)
