Now my eldest is 5 and my youngest about to turn 2 we use the recently acquired better quality box set at home and keep these (still in great condition) for their busy bags out and about and they still love them but certainly prefer the brighter colour boxset at home but at the end of the day they do the same job if it's down to price. I first came across how brilliant these were when mentoring one of my form students with additional needs through some maths class work that was particularly challenging, as these help to visualise number and by using colour to add on, divide, sort or group together they help students who need a kinaesthetic (doing) or tactile (feeling texture or pieces) approach to learning to better understand certain processes.
