Offered in a convenient 454g bulk bag, this mildly sweet, woody root is ideal for creating soothing teas, handmade marshmallows, and natural skincare products like lotions and balms. Its allergen-free, versatile nature makes it a must-have for health-conscious professionals seeking premium, multi-use botanical ingredients. ## Description Organically grown in Bulgaria and Albania, our Marshmallow Root comes from Althaea officinalis. We cut and sift the dried root into a clean, easy to measure format with a quietly sweet, woody character. While the root makes a pleasant and soothing tea and ingredient in throat lozenges, the emollient qualities of the herb are captured in ointments, salves and creams. Soap and balm crafters fold into handcrafted lotions, shampoos, lip balms, bar soaps and natural cleaning products.Store sealed in an airtight container in a cool, dark cabinet to preserve color and character.
