Review: Great grinder - Typical DeWalt quality—solidly built and very reliable. The brushless motor is noticeably more efficient than my old brushed models, and the electronic brake is incredibly fast (stops the disc in under 2 seconds). I also really appreciate the E-Clutch feature; it’s saved my wrists a few times when the disc pinched. It’s well-balanced, the slim body is easy to grip, and the power output is impressive for an 18V tool. Highly recommended.

A: The arbor on my grinder measures at 14.4mm. There is a mounting plate to accommodate the standard grinding disc with a 22mm bore.

A: I use dewalt 4, 5 or 6ah batteries and all seem to give excellent run- the 6.0 ah is a great investment for this tool power and runtime.

This is a replacement for a corded angle grinder and I must admit, I think it actually performs better than my old one. I’ve only used it a couple of times but it has come in to its own when not working near a plug socket in the garden. It is powerful, well balanced and has plenty of power. It feels more ergonomic in use than others and just feels like a quality bit of kit. The other thing I really like about this grinder is that it is significantly quieter that my old corded one which screamed when in use, I’m sure the neighbours appreciate that. That’s not an excuse not to wear the appropriate PPE though.
