## Description

From the manufacturer

Review: Better than copper grease - This is an alternative to copper grease in car servicing, an upgrade. It is a very high temperature anti-seize lubricant, which is also non-conductive, does not promote galvanic corrosion and does not interfere with electric sensors. It also has a high quality base oil in it plus some magic ingredients. Fundamentally, differences in max temperature and lubrication ability are insignificant for the automotive applications, so it is mostly about galvanic corrosion and compatibility with metals and other materials. I used a CRC ceramic paste in the past, Liqui Moly SKU 3418 now. It is for the back of brake pads in a car, lubricating shims on the callipers, using it as anti-seize on the central collar of the wheel hub, but neither on the mating surfaces of the wheel or brake disc, nor on wheel bolts or studs. It is also used on the hot bolts around the exhaust and turbocharger. It is a good product, does not separate, becomes dry powder under burning temperatures, the brakes work smoothly, the alloy wheels never stick to the hub even after winter. The tub is small, but lasts forever. The paste feels like thick white toothpaste, not toxic to touch with a finger, easy to whipe off the skin. By the way, the sandwich of the wheel hub, brake disc and alloy wheel is held together purely by the forces of friction under the clumping force coming from the wheel bolts or nuts. The wheel bolts of studs are not supposed to be exposed to shearing, i.e. sideways force. This is why all manufacturers forbid using lubricants and anti-seize on the mating surfaces of the hub/disc/wheel. They also forbid using anti-seize on wheel bolts/studs, because it massively increases the clumping force under the standard tightening torque, by around 40%, which may cause fastener failure. So, keep them dry and wirebrushed. An advanced unsupported option is to wirebrush the wheel bolts, lubricate them with a very light mineral oil, whipe them with a paper tissue, and then torque by hand to about 10% less the nominal torque. The logic is that wirebrushing and lubrication by a light oil without EP additives compensates for the effect of increased friction under multiple reuse of fasteners. Lubricated fasteners are known to be more consistent than dry under multiple reuse conditions, but they offer less protection against an idiot with an impact gun in a random garage. This brings us to the final point about always tightening the wheel bolts/nuts by hand and with a torque wrench. Anyway, I am happy with LIQUI MOLY Ceramic Paste, keeping it.
Review: quality item - its liquid molly should i say anymore quality as always

## Features

- Safety data sheet available on request.
- Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.
- Partly synthetic, white high-temperature paste. Prevents seizing, cold welding, rust freezing and stick-slip. Metal-free. Very good wear and corrosion protection. Universal use.
- Used for lubricating all types of high-load sliding surfaces. Used especially for low slide speeds and/or oscillating movements. and for screw, plug-in and bayonet connectors made from steel and non-ferrous metals.
- Before treating with Ceramic Paste, all components must be clean and free from residues, dirt and moisture. Apply to cleaned surfaces using a paint brush, brush or lint-free cloth. Apply the amount which is appropriate for the application.
