Or are they 1 black up and 1 black down? The manual doesn't say.** A: I think arrows should face inside as showing “insert.” Usually an arrow on any filters shows direction of the air flow. Other Blueair filters like 211 and 411, white sides face the outside. But, yeah, the manual makes confused. Blueair staffs must give a clear answer for it. **Q: Which direction do you install the filters? Black side up or white side up? In the plastic both filters were white side up but writing upside down** A: Hi there, the filters for the DustMagnet should both have the carbon side facing upwards. **Q: The support page on Blueair website says both main filters should be inserted with "arrow pointing upwards", not inwards. Works great to remove odors quickly and does it pretty quietly as we have it right next to the TV without distraction. We placed this right next to our entertainment center to take advantage of the dust reduction and we absolutely did notice less dust. It does not eliminate dust as if you wait long enough dust eventually returns just as before. But, it should definitely reduce the time or effort spent dusting around or near this purifier. Table Top works great and we put a medium sized plant on it with no issues. Have used the App throughout and experienced no issues. Auto Filter Monitoring appears to match real-time inspection as looking at them certainly confirmed the need to change them! This air purifier exceeded all of my expectations, easily and has been easy to work on the entire time with no wifi connectivity issues.
