I have been disappointed with this one right from the start. I decided to go for Salter as they are a good brand…but this has not translated over into a good product sadly. I made sure to use this correctly (wind to 1 hour mark then back to whatever time you want to set every single time you use it -this is important when using a mechanical timer) so I do not think that is what has caused it to not work. The problem with it is mainly that it sticks/stops ticking before it is done. This means that I can not rely on it. This only used to happen occasionally but then happened more and more frequently and now, when I wind it up it doesn’t tick/move at all. The bell still works. I am really disappointed. My rubbish (ugly!) free Heinz one worked with no problems for over 10 years.
